GlycoShea Creams Protect Your Body
Maybe you work in a job wherein you have your hands in a lot of water? Maybe you’re a parent doing a lot of laundry, or a mechanic, or a nurse, or a factory worker? Maybe you’ve started breaking out or itching on your hands? You may have what’s called hand or body eczema.

Your skin is your body’s barrier to the external world, and like the important layer of paint on your house’s exterior walls, your skin acts like your body’s barrier to protect you from the exterior world, for instance from bacteria. In this photo, you see me (George Woodbury Jr. M.D.) getting ready to paint a house. The paint is the house’s protection.
In 2016, I decided to develop a skincare company called Big River Silk Skincare™ Inc., to manufacture two natural and organic barrier creams made from Shea Butter and Glycolic Acid: GlycoShea™ Hand and Body Cream, and GlycoShea™ Facial&Neck Cream. These can be used as night creams – to act like your body’s protective paint.
Both products incorporate a natural and organic moisturizer called Shea Butter and an Alpha Hydroxy Acid called Glycolic Acid, using a minimal amount of mild preservatives, to create a wonderful “emulsion” or blend, making great moisturizers.
So what’s so helpful about Glycolic Acid? It’s an Alpha Hydroxy Acid chemical that was originally discovered in sugar cane and sugar beets that boosts the ability of the GlycoShea moisturizers to smooth the appearance of fine lines in the skin, i.e. wrinkles.
GlycoShea Facial&Neck Cream and GlycoShea Hand&Body Cream are also remarkable because:
They’re free of formaldehyde, parabens, and sulfates.
They’re free of fragrances.
They have no dyes.
They’re free of propylene glycol, and free of emollient chemicals, because we mix these products by hand, thereby allowing us to minimize additives.
They are purely botanical: and dairy-free. They’re even gluten free!
The base ingredient of these products is Shea Butter which has a long safety track record.
How expensive are these products?
GlycoShea Facial&Neck Cream: a 1 ounce jar: $39.95, two ounces: $59.95, and eight ounces: $179.95.
GlycoShea Hand&Body Cream comes in both Standard Strength (1 oz: $19.95; 2 oz: $29.95, 8 oz $89.95) and High Strength (1 oz: $29.95; 2 oz: $44.95; 8 oz: $134.95).
