Keratosis pilaris is a type of genetically sensitive skin condition with bumps on the face, arms and legs, due to buildup of a protein – keratin – in hair follicles. It runs in families along with Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema), an itchy or dry skin condition of the arms and legs. What can be done about it?

Dermatologists often consider prescription topical creams and lotions for Keratosis pilaris and Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis), (meaning “on top of the skin”), with urea, Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) like Glycolic Acid and Pyruvic Acid, and Lactic Acid.
