What Do the GLYCOSHEA Creams Do For You?

Big River Silk Skincare Inc. offers three GlycoShea Moisturizers:

GLYCOSHEA® Hand&Body Cream/Standard Strength; GLYCOSHEA® Hand&Body Cream/High Strength; and GLYCOSHEA® Facial&Neck Cream.

Our company developed the formula for these creams based upon the experience and training of Dr. Linda Woodbury, a Dermatologist since 1965, and myself, Dr. George Woodbury Jr. M.D., a Dermatologist since 1988. In this SmoothSkin issue, let’s look at what’s unique about these products.

First, we developed these products based upon treating literally thousands of people with sensitive skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and sun damage. I’m an active member of the American Contact Dermatitis Society, so I’m used to helping people with sensitive skin. So in the design of the GlycoShea moisturizers, I avoided problematic ingredients. The products accordingly are:

  • Free of preservatives that tend to cause skin reactions, such as formaldehyde, parabens, sulfates, and benzalkonium chloride;

  • Free of dyes;

  • Free of mixing chemicals called emulsifiers, including propylene glycol and sodium lauryl sulfate;

  • Free of animal products;

  • Free of fragrances.

As the same time, we wanted to actually include an ingredient in the GlycoShea Creams that would actually help people by smoothing out wrinkles or lines in the skin. After all, the title of this ENewsletter is SmoothSkin. So the GlycoShea Creams contain Glycolic Acid, an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid. The Glycolic Acid ingredient means that the GlycoShea Creams are anti-wrinkle creams. They also tend to improve skin texture and color – by evening out skin color.

We craft these creams into what’s called a blend or emulsion of an organic and natural tree-derived moisturizer called Shea Butter with some of the purest natural water in the United States: water from the Memphis Sands. Our manufacturing process enables us to avoid use of both propylene glycol and emulsifying chemicals.

So the result is a pure moisturizer that also smooths out the skin.

The GLYCOSHEA Creams are available for pick-up at our company headquarters at 8143 Walnut Grove Road, Cordova TN 38018, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. They can also be ordered at www.Bigriversilkskincare.com, and we do offer free continental USPS shipping for orders over $40.00.
