What's the "Glyco" in the GlycoShea Anti-wrinkle Creams?

But what does it do?

Originally discovered in sugarcane and pineapple, the AHA in the GlycoShea Creams refreshes the skin through release of the older cells of the outmost layer of the epidermis, allowing new, younger cells to come in.

Glycolic Acid is one of several AHAs, along with Lactic Acid (discovered in milk), Pyruvic Acid (grapes), and Mandelic Acid (sweet almond). It is also one of the most effective AHAs in its Anti-wrinkle properties, because being a small molecule, it readily penetrates the skin.
