GlycoShea™ Moisturizer Cream as a Skin Sealer

The skin is the human body’s largest organ, and it serves many important functions, starting with its role as our bodies’ barrier against the external world: against damage that can be caused by dry wind, by ultraviolet radiation, and by germs. Our skin is constantly replenishing its outer layer, called the epidermis, with new, resilient cells.

In one sense, one’s skin can be compared to the exterior walls on a house. One wants to keep the outer layer of a house – for instance the exterior paint – in good shape – so cracks and fissured don’t develop – which could let in rain or insects. In the same sense, it’s a good idea to keep the epidermis, the outer layer of the skin, healthy, thereby avoiding skin rashes and possible introduction of bacteria or fungi into the skin.

One can use an effective moisturizer to ‘seal’ the surface of the skin in the same way that one uses a layer of pain to ‘seal’ the exterior of a building. After 25 years of practicing dermatology, in 2016 I started working on manufacturing and offering for sale an organic, natural moisturizer for people’s hands and bodies, called GlycoShea™ Moisturizing Cream.

By design, GlycoShea Moisturizing Cream has no fragrances, no dyes, no parabens, and no formaldehye. The product is based upon the healing effects of Shea Butter, which comes from a tree from Burkina Faso in Africa, called the Shea Tree. It also incorporates an effective AHA, or Alpha Hydroxy Acid, called Glycolic Acid, originally discovered in sugarcane. Its Glycolic Acid enables GlycoShea Moisturizing Cream to strip off the old dead cells from the surface of the epidermal, thereby smoothing the appearance of fine lines in the skin.

GlycoShea Moisturizing Cream comes in Standard Strength and High Strength, for people with especially dry skin. It is available for purchase at 8143 Walnut Grove Road, Cordova TN 38018, and also for order over the internet: www.Bigriversilkskincare.com. It is also on Amazon, Etsy, and EBay, and we do offer free USPS Priority Mail Shipping.

And people with especially sensitive skin may wish to check out HypoShea Moisturizing Cream, a new product of Big River Silk Skincare Inc. that is best suited for people with sensitive skin and/or allergies.
